Penguard HB is a high build, two-pack pure epoxy primer that be used above and below the waterline. It has excellent adhesion to GRP and should be used when painting over the gelcoat for the first time. It is extremely water resistant and will help prevent osmosis and has excellent adhesion to steel, aluminium, bronze, wood (marine ply) and galvanised steel. Penguard HB adheres well to concrete and makes an excellent swimming pool paint when correctly applied directly on a rendered surface, and can also be used in tanks for potable water (drinking water) providing the correct guidelines are followed. Winter Note: Use Jotun Penguard Low Temperature Additive (see below) to enable curing at temperatures below 10C
Solvent thinner. Recommended thinner for polyurethane or similar paint products. Thinners No 10 is the solvent base for the following paints:- Hardtop AS, Hardtop XP, Hardtop Flexi, Hardtop HB. NOTE: Not for use with zinc sulphates
