Primers and Undercoats

Hempel Epoxy Light Primer undercoat is a two component epoxy high build paint. It forms a hard tough coating resistant to water and petroleum products. It is recommended for use as a primer below and above the waterline on boats made of aluminium, GRP, plywood, steel & ferrocement. Also for protection of keels and rudders. High build epoxy primer and undercoat for use above and below the waterline.

HEMPEL'S UNDERWATER PRIMER is a fast drying underwater primer containing aluminium flakes. For use as a sealer onto old antifouling or as a tiecoat over an epoxy primed surface before antifouling. Suitable on glass fibre, wood and steel. For use on all areas below the waterline including keels. Application method: Brush/Roller/Paint pad/Spray

Hempel High Protect Two Part Epoxy Primer (replacing GelProtect SFE200) is a two-component, solvent-free, high-build epoxy for osmosis protection and treatment. Easy to apply with good tolerance to environmental conditions. Forms a hard, tough, water-resistant coating. For use as a primer below the waterline on boats made of glass fibre or steel. Prevention and repair of osmotic blistering in the glass fibre both above and below the waterline. Available in Cream 24700 or Grey 13700

Hempel/Blakes ia a quick drying, high opacity primer and undercoat providing excellent durability and surface stability in preparation for overcoating with single pack systems. Suitable for all substrates, especially steel, and as an undercoat for Brilliant Enamel and Yacht Enamel. For use above the waterline. An anti-corrosive primer and tie coat for different substrates. Recommended for use as primer for antifouling on propellers and outboard engines on yachts. Fast drying, good adhesion to steel and other metals, re-coatable with the most common types of paint. Available in Stone Grey 12170.
